Valentine's Day

I realize that it is a week later but I had some cute pictures from Valentine's that I did want to share. We had a pretty good Valentine's Day. The bank delivered Chocolate Roses to it's customers. Brittany and I did most of the delivering but it was a lot of fun. The teachers at Greenland Middle School seemed to really enjoy our treats and we really enjoyed their enthusiasm!Justin had promised Katelyn that we would go to the zoo as my previous posts explains. However, when we woke up on Saturday morning it was way too cold to go to the zoo so we went to the Oklahoma Aquarium instead. Katelyn loved looking at all the fish.

And the sharps....of sharks for those of you that don't speak 3'lish!
She may be a big girl but she doesn't quite measure up to this aligator gar! We saw so many neat things at the aquarium! There was a giant turtle skeleton, jelly fishes, and of course her favorite were the sea horsies. We had to buy one of course and she carried it around for days afterward telling her other horses that was their mommy because horsies like to swim. We also saw an alligator statue that looked very realistic.
No! Not her foot! Katelyn saw a bigger girl stick her foot in the mouth for a picture and of course she had to immitate!

Some of you may have realized that this was posted in the middle of a Monday morning and wonder why I am at home. Katelyn now has bronchitis so we are home watching movies today after a quick trip to the doctor and pharmacy this morning. She doesn't act very sick but it coughing a lot. Please pray for a speedy recovery for mine and Justin's sake....we are both exhausted from not sleeping. More later.....

Recovering

Things are slowly getting back to normal around here. We have spent many days and nights working on the debris in our yard. We spent several nights in the Landers McLarty Nissan showroom trading in my car for a newer model. I have to admit that there are more bells and whistles on this car than any normal person needs but it is a very nice car and I am pleased with our negotiations. We have come a long way since our first big purchase fiasco before our marriage.

We tested out a puppy this weekend that Katelyn called Bear. He really did look like a teddy bear so the name was fitting. Unfortunately, not even two hours after we brought him home she had an asthma attack which prompted us to take him back. She wasn't as upset as I thought she would be but I guess she knew that the puppy had made her sick.

Other than the clean up and the normal daily functions we haven't done much of anything. I am going to a pampered chef party tonight at Brittany's house. We are hoping to go to Tulsa to the zoo for Valentine's Day. Katelyn is really looking forward to this and is wanting to ride the choo choo train. If anyone is interested the zoo is offering half price admission through out February and there are no parking fees this month as well. We will all be able to go for $10 which is great for a whole days activities.

Happy Valentine's Day!
